As part of their Information Security Management System (ISMS) program, Clark Retirement Community (Clark) initiated, developed, and instituted a Business Continuity Plan (BCP). All clinical and operational aspects were engaged for input and validation. A systematic approach was used with an emphasis on resilient adaptivity, ease to deploy, and ease of plan upkeep. A key early determination was to integrate the organization’s State mandated Emergency Plan and the BCP; the Safety and Security Coordinator served a primary role ensuring integration.
The presentation will be a case study including: Background, requirements for a BCP, organizational engagement, development, validation, testing, and institutionalizing. The formal presentation will conclude with a roadmap for other organizations to pursue for Business Continuity Planning. Time will be allocated for Q&A from a panel of the Clark BCP team.
